Come to Je¤sus; He is call¤ing–
Do not lin¤ger, do not wait;
You may nev¤er see to¤mor¤row:
Has¤ten ere it be too late.

Chorus:
Heark¤en to the Sav¤iour’s warn¤ing,
Ere the lamp of life grows dim;
While His heart for you is yearn¤ing,
Come to Him, O come to Him!

Life is on¤ly as a va¤pour–
It will swift¤ly pass a¤way;
Here you have no cer¤tain dwell¤ing;
Death’s cold hand you can¤not stay.

Lis¤ten to His kind en¤treat¤y;
Come and make Him now your friend;
In the path of life He’ll lead you
Safe¤ly to your jour¤ney’s end.

O be rec¤on¤ciled to Je¤sus
Ere your day of grace is past
And, out¤side the door of mer¤cy,
You are left to mourn at last.
