Fear not, O ¤soul, I ¤am Thy shield
And thy ex¤¤ceed¤ing ¤great re¤ward.
Let this as¤sure thy con¤fi¤dence,
And rest of heart to ¤thee af¤ford.

I am the ¤great Al¤¤might¤y One,
My words of ¤truth shall ¤nev¤er fail.
Al¤though thine en¤e¤mies are strong,
Have faith in me, thou ¤shalt pre¤vail.

Walk thou be¤¤fore me, ¤keep thy ways,
And serve me ¤now with ¤per¤fect heart.
Hold fast to thine in¤teg¤ri¤ty,
Strong in the Lord to ¤take thy part.

The might¤y ¤powers of ¤self and sin,
And Sa¤tan’s ¤host shall ¤sure as¤sail.
Thy soul shall feel the tempt¤er’s power,
And oft in¤firm¤i¤¤ties be¤wail.

My cho¤sen ¤ones are ¤tried as gold
To purge a¤¤way all ¤earth¤ly dross,
The fur¤nace heat must be ap¤plied
To save them from e¤¤ter¤nal loss.

Fear not, be¤¤loved, I ¤am thy shield,
O, let thy ¤choice and ¤will ac¤cord
With Mine and I shall sure¤ly be
Thine own ex¤ceed¤ing ¤great re¤ward.

God is my ¤shield, I ¤will not fear,
On His sure ¤word I ¤can de¤pend,
The love which claims and binds me now
Shall keep me stead¤fast ¤to the end.
