God in ten¤der love sent His on¤ly Son
To re¤deem and set ¤you free,
O re¤ceive Him now and you shall re¤joice
In His light and lib¤er¤ty.

Chorus:
He is wait¤ing, wait¤ing pa¤tient¤ly,
Do not bid your Lord de¤part;
He is long¤ing, long¤ing, oh, so ear¤nest¤ly,
To pos¤sess your will¤ing heart.

Chorus 2:
wait¤ing, wait¤ing

He will give you life and a liv¤ing hope,
That for¤ev¤er shall ¤en¤dure:
Those who come to Him will not be de¤ceived,
For His prom¤is¤es are sure.

Do not close your heart to the Son of God,
Since He died your soul ¤to win;
Shed His pre¤cious blood that you might be saved
From the guilt and pow’r of sin.

O be rec¤on¤ciled to your dear¤est friend,
He was smit¤ten for ¤your sake:
Let Him en¤ter in, you will know His peace,
And the joys of heav’n par¤take.

In His match¤less love He is wait¤ing still,
For He longs to dwell ¤with thee,
You will need this Friend when your life is o’er,
And you face E¤ter¤ni¤ty.
