God ¤sent His ¤well be¤lov¤ed Son
Down ¤from His home a¤bove;
He ¤came that ¤we might un¤der¤stand
The ¤depth of His great love,
He ¤left His ¤Fa¤ther’s home on high,
And ¤for our sins He came to die.

What ¤depth of ¤pit¤y moved His heart
For ¤sin¤ners dead in sin,
That ¤they through ¤Him might grace re¤ceive,
And ¤have His Life with¤in.
The ¤path to ¤Cal¤va¤ry He trod,
That ¤we might know the love of God.

That ¤quench¤less ¤zeal con¤sumed His life,
To ¤do His Fa¤ther’s will
And ¤sat¤is¤¤fy His just de¤mands,
And ¤right¤eous¤ness ful¤fil,
He ¤fin¤ished ¤all God’s heart had planned,
And ¤then sat down at God’s right hand.

He ¤pleads that ¤sin¤ners now might live,
The ¤might¤y work is done;
By ¤His own ¤blood the world re¤deemed;
E¤¤ter¤nal glo¤ry won.
Yet ¤few will ¤heed the gos¤pel call
And ¤own the Sav¤iour Lord of all.

His ¤saints, though ¤few, a¤dore His name,
Those ¤by His Spir¤it sealed,
And ¤love the ¤mys¤ter¤ies of grace
To ¤His own babes re¤vealed.
And ¤oh, what ¤joy and end¤less bliss
To ¤see His face in right¤eous¤ness.
