I rest in Je¤sus and my rest is sweet,
All that I need I find in Him com¤plete,
How kind and true the lov¤ing heart of God,
To send His Son and save me by His blood.

He came in love to give Him¤self for me,
And sac¤ri¤fice His life on Cal¤va¤ry,
He paid the ut¤most pen¤al¤ty for sin,
To o¤pen Heav¤en’s door and let me in.

When doubts and fears as¤sail and foes dis¤tress,
He is my ref¤uge in this wil¤der¤ness,
Ob¤tain¤ing mer¤cy at the Throne of Grace,
He speeds my feet to run the heaven¤ly race.

Pur¤sued by fier¤y tri¤als and op¤pressed,
I flee to Him and en¤ter in¤to rest,
When e¤vil wan¤dering thoughts would o¤ver¤power,
He is my hid¤ing place and my strong tower.

His grace and mer¤cy is my on¤ly hope,
With man¤i¤fold temp¤ta¤tions I must cope,
A¤cross my way the net of sin is spread,
His power a¤lone can bruise the ser¤pent’s head.

His ev¤er¤last¤ing cov¤e¤nant is mine,
His love is death¤less, nev¤er can de¤cline,
My Shep¤herd true will lead me all the way;
In Him I live, He is my strength and stay.

God’s price¤less gift– His gift un¤speak¤a¤ble–
He of¤fers free to who¤so¤ev¤er will.
This gift of life di¤vine is in His Son,
In Him a¤lone the Crown of Life is won.
