This is our plea and claim up¤on Thy mer¤cy,
Oh, leave us not to pine in our dis¤tress,
Cause now Thy face to shine up¤on Thy serv¤ants,
And drive a¤way the powers that would op¤press.

We would a¤bide se¤cure be¤neath Thy shad¤ow,
Shel¤tered and safe be¤neath Thy cov¤’ring wings,
Cap¤tives, yet glad, re¤joic¤ing in Thy free¤dom,
Filled with Thy praise our spir¤its sweet¤ly sing.
