Lord my whole be¤ing yearns and sighs
With thirst in¤sa¤tia¤ble;
My heart is hun¤g’ring now to know
Thy right¤eous ho¤ly will.

Thy right¤eous¤ness and Thine a¤lone
Can whol¤ly sat¤is¤fy,
Thy pre¤cious prom¤is¤es ful¤fill,
And my great need sup¤ply.

Thy grace and truth and right¤eous¤ness,
Thy love now shed a¤broad
With¤in my heart is all I need,
To speed me on to God.

It was Thy love a¤lone which brought
My soul from na¤ture’s night;
Thy right¤eous¤ness a¤lone can give
Ac¤cept¤ance in God’s sight.

Thy grace and mer¤cy in¤fi¤nite
Shall speed me while I run,
Un¤til I join the blood wash’d throng,
Ac¤cept¤ed in Thy Son.
