My Sav¤iour has su¤preme con¤trol,
My heart is now at rest,
For I am ful¤ly sat¤is¤fied–
His way and will is best.
I would not dare to choose my way,
The Lord a¤lone shall guide.
I feel the clasp of His dear hand,
And jour¤ney by His side.

Earth’s man¤y voic¤es which I hear,
Would lure my heart to stay,
But loves fair vi¤sion fills my soul,
And so I haste a¤way.
Al¤though the path¤way now may lead
Through val¤leys dark and drear,
The com¤fort of His rod and staff
As¤sure me He is near.

When eve¤ry con¤so¤la¤tion fails,
I ques¤tion not His love;
His life with¤in shall bear me on
To His fair home a¤bove.
Safe hid¤den in the Fa¤ther’s hand,
His work of grace be¤gun,
He will con¤tin¤ue and com¤plete
And make me like His Son.

To suf¤fer with my soul’s Be¤loved
Is now my high¤est choice;

My Heav’n¤ly Bride¤groom’s voice.
We know our light af¤flic¤tions will
Add to our joy and crown
When life is o’er, and at His feet

It was for me He lived and died,

He lives in me and I in Him,
