My soul de¤sires to walk with God,
A¤long the ¤path His cho¤sen trod;
I hear Him call¤ing “Come a¤way,”
And joy¤ful¤ly I now o¤bey.

Chorus:
I hear Him call, I hear Him call
From all that would my soul en¤thrall;
I haste a¤way to walk with God,
A¤long the path His cho¤sen trod.

The world may frown; I do not fear:
He waits with ¤words of hope and cheer,
To help me on my home¤ward way,
Where I shall rest at close of day.

New springs with¤in my heart a¤rise
While I be¤¤hold His sac¤ri¤fice;
My soul de¤sires, it yearns to be,
A sac¤ri¤fice, O Lord, for Thee.

Though powers of earth and hell op¤pose,
I rest in ¤this– my Fa¤ther knows;
His word is sure, it can¤not fail:
Re¤joice, my soul, thou shalt pre¤vail!
