My soul’s sweet song is Je¤sus,
I can¤not help but sing.
My heart is ful¤ly yield¤ed,
He reigns su¤preme my King,
I sing for joy and glad¤ness,
Al¤though I bear the cross,
His love out¤weighs the suf¤f’ring,
The sac¤ri¤fice and loss.

My on¤ly hope is Je¤sus,
A liv¤ing Christ with¤in.
My heart is now His tem¤ple,
He saves me from all sin,
Re¤ceiv¤ing dai¤ly cleans¤ing,
Made new a house of prayer,
My all, com¤plete the of¤f’ring
Up¤on the al¤tar there.

How kind the heart of Je¤sus,
To save us by His grace.
He bore our sins and sor¤rows,
He took the sin¤ners place,
The ho¤li¤est is o¤pen,
No veil to hide the sun,
For in Christ’s face the glo¤ry
We now may look up¤on.

We are the earth¤en ves¤sel,
The treas¤ure to con¤tain.
For in our mor¤tal bod¤ies
He deigns to live a¤gain,
How ex¤cel¤lent the glo¤ry,
How full and deep our joy,
When all our powers and tal¤ents
Are used in His em¤ploy.
