Not re¤deemed with gold or sil¤ver,
But with pre¤cious blood I am;
Price¤less was the ran¤som giv¤en–
God the Fa¤ther’s spot¤less Lamb.

Chorus:
It was Je¤sus, my Sav¤iour,
Gave His life to ¤ran¤som me;
Love be¤yond my com¤pre¤hend¤ing,
When He suf¤fered on Cal¤va¤ry.

Not re¤deemed to vain¤ly squan¤der
Time and tal¤ents He be¤stows;
Strength He gives to bear the bur¤den–
Well this fee¤ble frame He knows.

Not re¤deemed to live in pleas¤ure
While the pre¤cious mo¤ments fly;
Brief our span of life to la¤bour–
Days and years pass swift¤ly by.

He re¤deemed me– oh, what mer¤cy!
Great¤er love could nev¤er be!
God’s own Son, so pure and ho¤ly,
Was the sac¤ri¤fice for me.
