Oh, give thy¤self con¤tin¤ual¤ly
To fer¤vent prayer and min¤is¤try,
And God shall bless the seed thus sown,
A¤bun¤dant har¤vest you shall see.

Chorus:
Pre¤ced¤ed by your fer¤vent prayer,
Go forth and sow the pre¤cious seed,
Thus Heav’n and earth u¤nit¤ed stand,
To save the world in all its need.

God and the world hath need of thee,
Man’s wick¤ed¤ness is ver¤y great.
Oh, pray that God may send His word
To reach them in their low es¤tate.

At God’s right hand the one who died
To save the na¤tions from their sin
Is pray¤ing now– will you not pray,
And la¤bour thus their souls to win?

God lives and reigns in Sov¤’reign power;
Who then can stay His might¤y hand?
Will you not give your¤self to prayer,
In love ful¤fil¤ling love’s de¤mand?
