O, light of life in Je¤sus
The one true light of men,
I come to Thee in ¤meek¤ness;
Shine on my soul a¤gain.

I long to know Thy ful¤ness,
To keep me pure with¤in.
Ap¤ply Thy blood all ¤cleans¤ing,
And purge my soul from sin.

I need Thy mind, Lord Je¤sus,
That I may not gain¤say
The will of God, my ¤Fa¤ther,
But faith¤ful¤ly o¤bey.

I need Thy quick¤’ning Spir¤it
To teach me how to pray,
Thine, on¤ly Thine, the ¤pow¤er
To keep me in the way.

The way of truth and wis¤dom
My long¤ing soul would find,
The ways of sin and ¤dark¤ness
For¤sake and leave be¤hind.

That I may walk, Lord Je¤sus,
With pure and per¤fect heart,
Come Thou and dwell with¤¤in me,
And nev¤er more de¤part.
