Oh, turn not a¤way from the Sav¤iour of men,
None oth¤er can help or sus¤tain.
De¤pend¤ing on theo¤ry will on¤ly mis¤lead,
The help of the world is in vain.

Chorus:
Then pon¤der the path of thy ¤feet,
Re¤fuse not to walk in the ¤light;
Oh, turn not a¤way from the Sav¤iour of men,
To wan¤der in dark¤ness and night.

Oh, turn not a¤way from the path of the just,
Where light shin¤eth clear as the day,
The pres¤ence of Je¤sus will strength¤en and guide,
His foot¤prints have marked all the way.

His com¤fort and glad¤ness and peace in your soul,
A¤mid all the bat¤tle and strife,
Will cause you re¤joic¤ing and Je¤sus will be
Your joy as you jour¤ney through life.

Then dare not to tri¤fle– the Spir¤it is near,
Sal¤va¤tion and life to im¤part,
What worlds could not pur¤chase the Sav¤iour has done,
Oh, why will you hard¤en your heart?
