Out of love for Je¤sus,
You let His mind con¤trol,
His Spir¤it con¤se¤cra¤ting
Your bod¤y, spir¤it, soul.

Out of love for Je¤sus,
You suf¤fered and were kind,
And showed the Mast¤er’s Spir¤it,
Though no one seemed to mind.

Out of love for Je¤sus,
You dai¤ly bear the cross,
Self and self love for¤sak¤ing,
Es¤teem¤ing it but dross.

Out of love for Je¤sus,
You seek to run the race,
And cast off all that hin¤ders,
Sup¤port¤ed by His grace.

Out of love for Je¤sus,
Con¤strained, you dai¤ly die,
And life di¤vine is giv¤en
From Him who reigns on high.

Out of love for Je¤sus,
You keep this goal in view,
God’s great e¤ter¤nal pur¤pose,
His Son re¤vealed in you.
