The Lord has whis¤pered in my heart,
“When man¤y doubts and fears as¤sail,
By prayer and faith you o¤ver¤¤come,
Your en¤e¤mies shall not pre¤vail.”

I suf¤fered much when man¤i¤fold
Temp¤ta¤tions tried me by the way,
My prayers and tears pre¤vailed with ¤God,
And He will hear you when you pray.

Op¤pressed, af¤flict¤ed and dis¤mayed,
I trod the wine¤press all a¤lone,
Ex¤ceed¤ing sor¤row¤ful I ¤prayed,
And God did not for¤sake His own.

He giv¤eth power un¤to the faint,
And out of weak¤ness makes them strong,
He sat¤is¤fies the long¤ing ¤soul,
And turns their mourn¤ing in¤to song.

Let prayers and praise as¤cend to Him,
Who feels for your in¤fir¤mi¤ty;
His heart is touched, He fail¤eth ¤not
To in¤ter¤cede with God for thee.

Draw near to God in Je¤sus’ name,
And there with¤in the ho¤ly place
Pour out your heart, your soul’s de¤¤sire,
To Him, be¤fore the throne of grace.

Our faith¤ful God, He can¤not fail;
Hold fast, and great shall be your gain,
With robes made white in Je¤sus’ ¤blood,
For ev¤er¤more with Him to reign.
