The love of Je¤sus ¤fills my soul,
My heart is un¤der ¤His con¤trol.
Though oft I serve with ¤tears and sighs,
I have that love which nev¤er dies.

Re¤joice my soul with ¤joy and sing,
He reigns with¤in, my ¤Sav¤iour, King,
His love the power of ¤death de¤fies,
The love of Je¤sus nev¤er dies.

God wills that self should ¤be de¤nied,
My faith and pa¤tience ¤sore¤ly tried,
Al¤though the will of ¤na¤ture cries,
His love pre¤vails and nev¤er dies.

I will hold fast my ¤con¤fi¤dence,
Ex¤ceed¤ing great the ¤rec¤om¤pense.
His im¤age is the ¤glo¤rious prize,
Where love im¤mor¤tal nev¤er dies.

His work in me He ¤will main¤tain,
His name and na¤ture ¤I shall gain.
My eve¤ry need His ¤love sup¤plies,
Love nev¤er fails and nev¤er dies.

Love fail¤eth not; love ¤can¤not fail.
Though powers of earth and ¤hell as¤sail,
God’s Spir¤it in my ¤heart re¤plies,
The love of Je¤sus nev¤er dies.
