Trust for strength to bear the bur¤den,
Faint not ’neath His chast¤’ning hand.
He would have you bear His im¤age
When be¤fore Him you shall stand.

In those times when sore op¤pres¤sion
Bind and hold your spir¤it down,
Com¤fort¤less He will not leave you,
Trust: and peace shall be your crown.

Per¤fect peace, how great the prom¤ise!
God’s own word im¤mu¤ta¤ble
Shall not fail, can¤not be bro¤ken.
Eve¤ry word He shall ful¤fil.

Per¤fect peace, how great a treas¤ure,
’Mid the world’s un¤rest and strife!
Let His peace, your heart pos¤sess¤ing,
Be your por¤tion in this life.

Trust¤ing in the Lord for ev¤er,
Trust¤ing while He lend¤eth breath–
He is al¤ways true and faith¤ful–
Be thou faith¤ful un¤to death.
